Bored with me taking photos, Ebbey looks up to see if I am done.

Allex Michael: Most rescued dogs are very grateful to their new owners, as they have experienced some degree of trauma. However, it took six months or more before Ebbey really showed any gratitude or bonding towards me. She must have been used to making her own decisions for some time, based on her reluctance to adjust to a domesticated existence. Plus she hides her feelings very, very well. So perhaps she was bonding with me, but afraid to get too attached before being dumped again. As time goes on Ebbey now has a very strong bond with me and becomes very disappointed if I leave.
