Allex Michael: Visiting the vet's office, there was a cat in a kennel on the floor. The poor guy was terrified and shaking. So Ebbey just stood there staring at the cat. I asked the owners if the dog's presence was making the cat worse, but they said no. The cat has a dog at home. Within a minute of observing the shaking cat, Ebbey also started shaking. Was it empathy? Or since Ebbey has been hurt and scared, did she start shaking in sympathy? Or did Ebbey have a psychic link to the cat? Or perhaps she figured if a killer garbage dump cat is shaking - then she better be scared too.
I took Ebbey out for a walk, worried that all this shaking would get worse. When I returned, the cat was gone. Ebbey was then fine, sniffing around and soliciting pets from the staff and the vet. So the shaking wasn't from being at the vet.
Ebbey has demonstrated empathy for other suffering animals, including ones on television.
Playing the search dog, Ebbey has a leading role in the eerie action thriller Search Dog's Raven. Her character is paramount, because the key to unlocking the film's unique twist turns out to be the 'Search Dog's...Raven.
