Ebbey the Canine Actor: Ebbey Photos About Allergies Allex Michael: My first dog gradually became very sick with a variety of symptoms, but no diagnosable disease, and the vet said she would have to be euthanized at the age of ten. The dog had been on high quality dog food all her life. So I decided to give home made food a try before putting her down. Within a few weeks, her overall health had greatly improved and she lived another three years. I later found out, the dog had a debilitating and very difficult to diagnose disease called Lupus, but the home made food made such a tremendous difference.
This is one reason why I decided to feed Ebbey a home made diet. I soon also discovered that Ebbey is allergic to most foods, including all commercial dry dog foods, and basically don't have a choice other than home made food. Many dogs are also allergic or become allergic to food preservatives that you find in dry dog food, no matter how high the quality.
